Time Required for Delivery

Normally, physical items can be obtained within seven working days. While the lending library will usually try to process our borrowing requests in a timely fashion, there might be extenuating circumstances that cause delay. Items requested from an overseas library generally take longer to acquire. If you have an especially urgent need, please contact the ILL office at libill@hkbu.edu.hk or 3411-7445 for special arrangement.

Pick Up and Return

Returnable items such as books should be picked up and returned in person at the Circulation Counter (Borrowing & Returning) to ensure that they are in good condition and are returned on time.

Loan Period

The loan period is set by the lending library. In general, loan periods range from two to four weeks. Renewals of ILL materials can be requested by contacting the ILL Office at libill@hkbu.edu.hk or 3411-7445. ILL items are also subject to recall by the lending library.
