Other eligible users (such as Graduate Borrowers and JULAC Card holders from other UGC institutions) will need to perform a one-time initial set-up on the My Library Account page:

  1. Click on the "Other Eligible Users" button
  2. Click on the "Forgot your password?" link
  3. Enter your barcode and e-mail address, and click Submit
  4. An e-mail with further instructions will be sent to the address that the Library has on file for you. Follow the instructions to complete your password setup

Troubleshooting My Library Account

Problem Solution
Error message "Unable to validate username or password" is displayed (applies to HKBU staff and students). The account information entered does not correspond to any authorised account on the University system. Please ensure that you are using the correct username and password combination, which should be the same as the one that you use to access your University e-mail account.

Should you be unable to access your e-mail account, please contact the Office of Information Technology.
Error message "Invalid UserID and/or Password. Please re-enter." is displayed (applies to other eligible users). Please ensure that you have entered your barcode correctly, including the initial alphabet character.
I forgot my password! HKBU Staff and Students: On the "HKBU Students / Staff" page, click the "Forgot Password" link, and you will be taken to the Reset SSOid Password page of the University Information System.

Other Eligible Users: On the "Other Eligible Users" page, please click the "Forgot your password?" link and follow the onscreen instructions to reset your password.

Please Ask a Librarian if you still have problems accessing your My Library Account.
