A major national newspaper in the UK, The Daily Mail offers short and engaging news stories written with the everyday interests of the middle classes, reflecting popular culture and taste of the 20th century. It was the first newspaper to introduce a women’s magazine in 1968, pioneer the reporting of personal finance with its “Money Mail” section, and also launch and sponsor the annual Ideal Home Exhibition.
Other than the regular edition of the newspaper, this archive also includes the Daily Mail Atlantic Edition, which was published on board the cruise ships that sailed between New York and Southampton from 1923 to 1931.
