The HKBU Library Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research was established in 2014 by the Library to support and encourage undergraduate research at the University.

The following cash prizes will be awarded to students:

  • Winner: HK$3000 (1 award)
  • Honourable Mentions: HK$500 (number of awards at the discretion of Selection Committee)

Members of academic staff are invited to nominate up to five undergraduate students who have submitted outstanding papers or projects in AY2016-2017.

The papers or projects must:

  • Be authored by a single student
  • Be produced to fulfill a course requirement
  • Involve a research component which requires the use of Library resources
  • Contain a bibliography or reference list

Selections will be based on thoroughness of the research process, use of a broad range of search tools, creativity in the use of resources, and accuracy and attention to detail.

Please note, Honours Projects are not eligible for nomination.
