Literacy Tutorials on Research Strategies
Be an information-literate
person
The second library online tutorial
is intended to assist students in doing research projects
and to develop strategies in coping with information
overload. The tutorial focuses on information literacy,
which is not equivalent to computer literacy. Information
literacy refers to the ability to locate, evaluate,
and use information in an effective way.
Please visit the library online tutorial Web site at:
<http://www.hkbu.edu.hk/lib/research/tutorial.html>
and select appropriate user category to access the "Information
Literacy Tutorials on Research Strategies".
The tutorial is one of the components
of the Teaching Development Grant project collaborated
by the Library and several faculty members and chaired
by Dr. Alex Fung of Department of Education Studies.
