Results of the Library website survey

There were 181 responses to the Library website survey conducted in the second half of March 2015.

Although a diverse range of comments were received, some common themes emerged, including:

  • Organization of the Library website needs to be improved. A more streamlined layout and design would make it more efficient for users to find information.
  • The Library website would benefit from a more modern appearance. Better use of colours, fonts, and graphics would help highlight the latest news and activities.
  • OneSearch, though presented as the Library's default search tool, does not meet every need of every user.

Based on the feedback received, the Library is now working to redesign the homepage of the Library website. Additionally, a new version of OneSearch is due to be launched soon. Both of these improvements are expected to be made available to the HKBU community by the beginning of the next academic year.

The Library would like to thank all of those that provided their valuable feedback. The five winners of the $50 coffee cards have been notified. Further comments are welcome, and can be sent to the Library’s Web Development Team.
