Introduction of Octopus Printing / Colour Photocopying

Octopus printing

The Library is pleased to announce that Octopus printing will be available in the Main Library starting from 1 August 2015 on a pilot basis. At this stage, one Octopus printer/photocopier will be located on Level 4.

This new machine will support colour printing. More information, including a step-by-step guide on how to print using your Octopus card, can be found at:

The new machine is also a photocopier, and will support colour photocopying. Please note that for both printing and photocopying, only A4 paper size is supported by this machine.

Following the pilot phase, Octopus printing will be extended to other floors of the Main Library, and also to the Chinese Medicine Library. Details will be announced when available. This provision for Octopus printing replaces the old printing card system. As previously announced, existing printing cards will expire on 31 July 2015.

Colour photocopying

Also from 1 August 2015, the photocopiers on Levels 5, 6, and 7 will be replaced with new machines that can handle colour photocopying. Please note that these machines only support A4 paper size.
