Temporary suspension of HKALL service starting from 6 June 2017

To facilitate the implementation of the new Shared Integrated Library System for the eight UGC-funded universities, the Hong Kong Academic Library Link (HKALL) service will be temporarily suspended in two stages from early June to early July 2017.

Please note that the HKALL service will be affected as follows:

  1. The last day for making HKALL requests is 5 June 2017 (Monday)
  2. The due day for returning all checked-out HKALL items is 15 June 2017 (Thursday)

Borrowing and lending services between the eight libraries will be maintained during the suspension period by the Interlibrary Loan service (for eligible users only). It is anticipated that the HKALL service will resume in the new system in early July 2017.

Eligible users for using the Interlibrary Loan service include: HKBU academic and equivalent administrative staff, instructors, support & research staff, and UGC-funded & HKBU self-funded postgraduate & undergraduate students. For those not eligible to use Interlibrary Loan and who require access to books from other UGC libraries during the suspension period, please contact the Circulation Counter of the Main Library in person or at 3411-7444 for assistance.

For enquiries, please contact the Information Desk at 3411-7363 or via email to: libref@hkbu.edu.hk.
