Launch of the Chinese Medicine Formulae Images Database
The Library is proud to announce the first open access Chinese Medicine Formulae Images Database developed in Hong Kong. This is one of the fruits of the ongoing collaborative efforts between the HKBU School of Chinese Medicine and the University Library.
This database documents 182 Chinese Medicine formulae commonly used in Chinese medical practice. These have been systematically consolidated and summarized in the form of images and detailed description. It provides formula composition, processing forms, function, indications and usage, along with formula song and shorthand methods. Beyond its role in supporting teaching and learning at HKBU, this open access database will also help to popularize knowledge of Chinese Medicine among the general public.
