New classification scheme for new titles and their locations in the Libraries
Since April 2019, new titles1 received after April 2019 at the HKBU Library are catalogued under the Library of Congress Classification Scheme (LC), a system of library classification developed by the Library of Congress in the United States.
As an interim arrangement, these new titles under LC will be housed at following locations, with effect from 3 June 2019.

This initiative is the Library's first step towards building an integrated library collection under one single classification scheme (LC) for the easy discovery of resources. For the time being, classification scheme and the locations of existing titles received prior to April 2019 will remain unchanged until the launch of retrospective classification projects.
Titles catalogued under LC will have a prefix "LC" in square brackets before their call numbers. For example:
Physical signage has been posted on related area of the Libraries to facilitate easy location of items. Duty staff at the User Services Counters will be happy to provide assistance should you need any support.
