Temporary Closure and Relocation: Windows and Air-Conditioner Replacement for SCA
Special Collections and Archives (SCA) will undergo essential windows and air-conditioner replacement works. The tentative affected period is from 15 December 2025 to 9 January 2026 resulting in unavoidable impact on SCA services. All SCA collections, archival materials, and furniture will be temporarily relocated to ensure their safety.

Temporary Office and Reading Area Location
- From 22 December 2025 to 2 January 2026, SCA’s temporary office and reading area will be at Level 2, Multipurpose Rooms, AML (Main Library).
Service Arrangements (22 December 2025 – 2 January 2026):
- All regular SCA services suspended.
- Limited services available by advance reservation on a first-come-first-served basis only:
- Book borrowing and archival records viewing.
- A limited number of seats for on-site use.
- Reservation must be made at least one working day in advance; we may not be able to accommodate walk-in users.
- SCA (Level 4, AML405) will be inaccessible during this period.
Important Notes:
- Please plan ahead and make reservations in advance for any required services.
- Processing and retrieval may take longer than usual.
- Service resumption dates may change due to weather-related delays or unforeseen circumstances. Please check for the latest updates.
