Why you need an ORCID: Top publishers pledge to require ORCID

In an  open letter  hosted on the ORCID website, some of the world’s major publishers and scientific societies have announced that they will require authors to have an ORCID iD. Signatories of the letter include:

ORCID will help enable recognition and reduce reporting burdens for researchers, but only if it is widely adopted. With their pledge to mandate ORCID iDs, this group of publishers is helping to accelerate ORCID adoption.

HKBU Shares Experience at
Australia ORCID Outreach Meeting

At the ORCID Outreach Meeting held in Canberra on 15-16 February 2016, the HKBU Research Visibility Project team was invited to share our experience of implementing ORCID at HKBU. We showed how our system enables us to keep our facultyˇ¦s ORCID records up to date on their behalf, thus saving their time and effort:

The meeting also served as the official launch of the Australian ORCID Consortium. Over 40 Australian universities and research institutions have committed to adopting ORCID.
