Temporary Change to Main Library Entrance Access (27–30 July 2026)

The Main Library Entrance will be temporarily closed for glass door repairs from 27 July to 30 July 2026. During this period, access through the main entrance will not be available. All library users are requested to use the exit door located in the Lift No. 4 lobby on Level 3 as the temporary entrance and exit.

The Library offers far more than just books! We have an extensive range of resources in different formats covering a wide variety of topics. Additionally, we facilitate the creation, curation, and promotion of knowledge.

  • Find Materials in the Libraries – Learn about the Library’s main search engine, the location of items in the Libraries, and the classification schemes in use.
  • Databases & Journals – Explore the online databases and journals available from the Library and learn how to access them from off-campus.
  • HKBU Scholarly Output – View the various Library initiatives to aid in the dissemination of the University’s scholarly output.
  • New Arrivals & Trials – View lists of our recent acquisitions and check out the electronic resources currently on trial.
  • Search Leganto Reading Lists – This search engine is dedicated to checking the availability of materials set aside by faculty for specific courses.
  • HKBU Examination Papers – A database of HKBU past examination papers provided to the Library. Please note that it is not a comprehensive collection.
  • Library Art Collections – The Library has a fine collection of art objects including sketches, paintings, calligraphy, posters, bookplates, and rare journals.
