
The revitalization of the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) building aims to showcase SCM’s advancement in Chinese medicine, research achievement and development of translational studies. As a part of the revitalization, the renovation project of the 2nd floor of the Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Building will commence in July 2025 and the construction is expected to be completed in February 2026. Affected by this renovation project, the Chinese Medicine Library will be closed from 16 June 2025. All the CML collections and staff will be relocated to the Main Library (AML). CML collections and staff will be moved back in March 2026 and CML is expected to be reopened in April 2026.
This webpage will provide the information related to the renovation project and will be updated regularly. Thank you for your attention and understanding during this special period!
Please proceed with borrowing and returning services at the User Service Counter on the Level 3 of the Main Library from July 2025.

- 2025-6-16:The Chinese Medicine Library is closed from 16 June 2025. The CML collections are being packed and relocated to AML. The Chinese Medicine Library collections will be temporarily inaccessible from 16 June to 7 July 2025.

Important Notice for All Staff and Students (Especially SCM)
Please borrow any books you may need before June 16, 2025.
For hold books and ILL, please pick up before June 14, 2025.
Some of the AV materials in CML collections will be suppressed and will not be available until CML reopens. Only those high usage AV materials can be requested. Please fill in the paper form in the User Service Counter of the Main Library to use them.

How Will This Affect You?
- No access to Level 2 of the SCM Building: The entire Level 2 of the SCM Building will be closed to all users until renovations are completed.
- Collection Relocation: CML’s collection will relocate to the Main Library (AML).
