Leganto Reading Lists (former “Course Readings” service) simplifies course reading management and optimizes the use of library resources. In addition to sending the reading list to the Library for processing, instructors can create, organize, and share their course reading lists with students. Beyond incorporating materials from the Library collections, instructors can supplement their lists with external resources like YouTube videos, websites, and uploaded files. This comprehensive platform enables students to conveniently access all course materials through Moodle, enriching their learning journey and facilitating efficient access to essential resources.
Get started!
Course instructors may submit their reading lists through the online form or via the corresponding email to the Library. We will assist in creating the course’s Leganto Reading List. Alternatively, course instructors may create Leganto Reading Lists by themselves.
Create a reading list by yourself
Ask the Library to help you create the list

* The Moodle Course ID Number is essential in linking the reading list to your Moodle course. Follow the instructions here to obtain the Course ID Number.
⚠️IMPORTANT: For any local files (e.g. scanned PDF, images, videos), by sending them to us, you acknowledge that the use of the resource complies with copyright. The Library reserves the right to accept or reject uploading of local files to Leganto Reading Lists.
Processing time
It normally takes 8 working days to process Reading Lists submitted to the Library. More time may be required during peak seasons (i.e. in the weeks immediately before/after the start of the semester).
Policy for physical library materials in a list
Physical library materials added to a Leganto Reading List will be added to the Course Readings collection. These items are available for borrowing from the User Services Counter or the corresponding branch library for short loan periods of 4, 24, or 48 hours.
The default loan period per item is 4 hours unless otherwise requested.
Items assigned to multiple courses are limited to a 4-hour loan period. Course reading materials must be returned to the User Services Counter of the item’s home library.

*Items on a 4-hour loan can be checked out for overnight use within four hours before closing, and they must be returned at the opening time on the next Library opening day.
After the examination period of each semester, physical course readings that are not required for further course use will be removed from the Course Readings Collection as follows:
- Library print materials will be reshelved to the General collection.
- Personal print copies provided by course instructors will be returned to their office via campus mail.
Accessing Leganto Reading Lists
For Course-Specific Lists:
1. Course instructors add the Leganto Reading Lists external tool to the Moodle course.
2. Students can then access the reading list directly from the Moodle course page.
3. Students have the option to add the list to “My List” on the Leganto Reading Lists platform.

4. By adding to “My List”, students can access all reading lists for their enrolled courses whenever they log in to the Leganto Reading Lists platform.

For Public Reading Lists:
- The Library creates and publishes some reading lists for public use.
- Students can access these public lists directly through the Leganto Reading Lists platform.
