Climate Activism through Writing for the Public

In this workshop, the speaker offers an overview of nearly 20 letters to the editor published by him or his students in the South China Morning Post focusing on climate changes and environmental issues. A number of strategies for identifying the topics, doing research and developing arguments are then identified and presented with some hands-on activities for students to practice these skills. Participants also learn how to engage the government, the Legislative Council and the wider community on climate issues in Hong Kong.

Facilitator: Dr. Simon Wang (Language Centre)

CCL Status: Participants will receive a full credit for attending this Event
