Copyright basics: How much can I copy?

How much is copying too much? You may have heard of the 5%, 10%, or no more than a chapter rule. What’s the big deal using copyrighted works? How does it affect you or the copyright owner?

The concept of copyright may seem difficult to grasp. However, through understanding the basic concepts and knowing where to find the information, you will learn to become a responsible user of copyrighted materials. This workshop is not intended as legal advice but helps you to understand the basics of copyright.

Facilitator: Ms. Maggie Wong (User & Information Services, Library)

CCL Status: Participants will receive a half credit for attending this Event

Note: In order to claim CCL credit, you must be online for at least 80% of the session (as recorded in the Zoom attendance report). Additionally, you must respond to a poll question that will be asked via Zoom at a random point during the session.
