Publish open access with Cambridge University Press for free!

Following successful negotiations with Cambridge University Press (CUP), the Library is pleased to announce that article processing charges (APCs) for open access will be waived for HKBU authors who have articles accepted by over 370 CUP journals.

All HKBU faculty, staff, and students are eligible for this APC waiver. Please refer to this page of the CUP website for details.

Furthermore, the Library would like to highlight that Prof. Stephen Palmquist (Professor, Department of Religion and Philosophy) is the first researcher in Hong Kong to benefit from this agreement with CUP. His article in the Kantian Review entitled “Responses to Critics: What Makes Mysticism Critical? (Or, What Makes Critique Mystical?)” is now freely available to all even without a subscription to the journal. This will help ensure that his research insights reach and impact as wide an audience as possible.

Questions about the Library’s arrangements with CUP can be sent to lib-sct@hkbu.edu.hk.

Readers around the world can download Prof. Palmquist’s article for free even without a subscription to the journal!
