The Main Library and the Shek Mun Campus Library acquired the HyRead Kiosk from HyRead, a Chinese e-book vendor. This interactive kiosk offers an extensive collection of Chinese e-books covering a wide range of subjects, including personal growth, arts, medicine, technology, sports, classic Chinese literature, and non-fiction from Europe, America, and Japan.
How to use it?
To access the HyRead collection, simply download the HyRead mobile app and scan the QR code displayed on the Kiosk. The app will automatically add the e-book to your bookcase. For other collections, just scan the QR code and log in using your SSOid.
Besides the Chinese e-books from HyRead, the Library has added featured collections to the Kiosk. By opening the menu on the left-hand side, you can browse the following collections:
- Faculty/Staff Publications
- Hong Kong Travel Posters
- Magazines
- Chinese medicine rare books
- English Learning
- SDG
- Hong Kong History
