- Reservation of seats in the Library is not permitted. Please respect the rights of others to use the Library’s study facilities, and refrain from occupying seats with your personal belongings for extended periods.
- During peak study periods, action will be taken to clear study spaces in the Main Library. Procedures are in place to ensure that belongings are only removed if they have been left unattended for an extended period.
- Notwithstanding the above provision, the Library reserves the right to remove books and personal property left unattended in the library without prior notice to the owner at the discretion of library staff. Items so removed will initially be kept at the security guard post at the main entrance. Unclaimed items will be transferred to the appropriate Security Control Centre’s lost and found service.
- Users unable to find a study space due to seat occupation may seek assistance from the library staff on duty at the User Services Counter. If no library staff is on duty, please approach the security guard for assistance.
