簡介
「基督教古籍數據庫」是一個由香港浸會大學圖書館及校牧處合作建立的全文數據庫。其收錄的36本於清末民初出版的中文古籍，主要是聖經註釋，其次為有關基督宗教的著作。這批基督教古籍真實地反映該時代的傳教士及學者對基督教教義及聖經各經卷的研究及瞭解，為研究宗教、翻譯及歷史的人士提供珍貴的資料。數據庫得以建立，全賴香港浸會大學校牧葉敬德博士授權圖書館將其收藏的古籍數碼化，讓公眾及研究人員透過互聯網免費查閱。
此數據庫為一個索引及全文圖像的數據庫，讀者可以從書目選擇合適的古籍及章節，然後瀏覽該書的全文圖像。
Introduction
The “Christianity Rare Books Database” is a joint digitization project of the Hong Kong Baptist University Library and the Chaplain’s Office. This Database includes 36 Chinese stitch-bound rare books on Bible commentary and Christianity which were published in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These rare books document the research effort of scholars and missionaries on Christianity and Bible during that period, and are valuable research materials for those who are interested in the studies of religions, translation and history. The Library is grateful to Rev. Dr. King Tak Ip, Chaplain of the University and also the owner of these rare books. His support and authorization for digitization is important for the creation of this Database for free public access on the World Wide Web.
This Database contains index and full texts. Library patrons can select the titles and chapters from the bibliography and then browse the PDF images of the texts.
