Learning Events Presents: Library Survival Skills
New to HKBU Library? Or do you feel like you need to brush up your research skills? Our Library Survival Skills Series is for you!
These introductory workshops will equip you with important information skills. They are intended for students that have not had a lot of experience with academic research at university. The world of scholarly information can be intimidating, so why not let your librarians introduce you to the basics?
What’s more, you will get a half-credit towards your Co-Curricular Learning (CCL) requirement.
Note: In order to claim CCL credit, you must attend the workshop. ο»ΏAdditionally, you must submit the Learning Event Evaluation online form within the same day as the workshop.
π Join Learning Events to Win Prizes!
Anyone who joins a Learning Event (listed below) this semester will receive an entry into the lucky draw. This means the more workshops you join, the more chances you will get to win!
πββοΈπ Wait… there’s more! Join with a buddy to earn more chances!
If you successfully invite a buddy to join the same workshop as you, you will both double the lucky draw chances received!
βΉοΈ Here’s how it works:
1. On the registration form, you and your buddy need to put each other’s HKBU email in the “My Buddy” field. Make sure the email is correct or else it will not be counted.
2. Confirm your attendance by replying to HKBU Library’s email. We will send you this email one week before the workshop, and your registration will be cancelled if you do not reply.
3. Attend the workshop together. Both you AND your buddy must attend the workshop in order to earn the double lucky draw chances.
Example:
πββοΈΒ You π Your Buddy πΒ Library Workshop
