Final extension of renovation period for Main Library entrance and alternative access arrangements
The Estates Office has informed the Library that the renovation work to the entrance of the Main Library is almost complete. However the final stages (including the removal of the construction site hoarding) will again require the Main Library entrance to be closed on the following additional dates:
- 9 Jan (Saturday)
- 10 Jan (Sunday)
- 11 Jan (Monday)
Alternative access arrangements
On those dates when the main entrance is closed, access to the Main Library will be through the fire exit on Li Promenade. Please refer to the image below for details of the entrance and exit flows. Directional signage will be provided.
Security guards will inspect library cards at the temporary station near the Information Desk. Patrons should follow the instructions of library staff and security guards on site.
