Temporary Change to Main Library Entrance Access (27–30 July 2026)

The Main Library Entrance will be temporarily closed for glass door repairs from 27 July to 30 July 2026. During this period, access through the main entrance will not be available. All library users are requested to use the exit door located in the Lift No. 4 lobby on Level 3 as the temporary entrance and exit.

A collection of British government documents on colonial Hong Kong. Digitized from British Colonial Office records, the collection consists of despatches and correspondence between the governors of Hong Kong and the Colonial Office. It also includes letters and telegrams of other government departments and organizations such as the Foreign Office, Home Office, and War Offices.

This database features handwritten text recognition, allowing users to perform full text keyword searches of handwritten primary sources.
