Overnight Library Access Policy Update
Effective 1 September 2026, access to the Academic Commons at the Main Library from 11:00 p.m. to 7:59 a.m. will be restricted to current HKBU students and staff only.
Over the past five years, HKBU student enrolment has increased by 8%, while Main Library usage has risen by 104%. This policy change ensures that current students maintain reliable access to essential study spaces, particularly during critical examination periods.
Access during regular Library opening hours will remain available to all authorised users without change.
