REVISED: Extension of renovation period for Main Library entrance and alternative access arrangements
The information below supersedes that given in our announcement of 21 December.
The Estates Office has informed the Library that the schedule of work for renovations to the Library main entrance has changed. Below are the revised additional dates on which the Main Library entrance will be closed:
- 24 Dec (Thursday)
- 27 Dec (Sunday)
Note that the entire Library will be closed on 25 and 26 Dec for the public holidays.
Alternative access arrangements
On those dates when the main entrance is closed, access to the Main Library will be through the fire exit on Li Promenade. Please refer to the image below for details of the entrance and exit flows. Directional signage will be provided.
Security guards will inspect library cards at the temporary station near the Information Desk. Please follow the instructions of library staff and security guards on site.
