While the Library prioritises meeting the needs of current HKBU staff and students, we also endeavour to provide access to others interested in our facilities and resources.
Some members of the HKBU community (e.g. graduates) can complete an application for library privileges. Outside researchers with a specific need to access our collections may apply for free short-term access. You can find details via the links in this section.
- Graduate Service Package – Graduates with HKBU-awarded degrees and SCE- / SCM-awarded diplomas may apply for Library Service Packages at different levels to suit their needs.
- SCE Students – Library Card – For those SCE students not automatically granted Library privileges.
- BNBU Staff and Students – For eligible staff and students from the Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU).
- External/Corporate Borrower Card – For individuals and corporations not affiliated with HKBU.
- External Scholars and Visitors – Individual scholars needing access to the Library for genuine research purposes may apply for free short-term access.
Note that the Library’s Special Collections & Archives (SCA) are open to the public by appointment.
For access to SCA, please contact staff prior to your visit (tel.: 3411 5937; libarc@hkbu.edu.hk).
