ChargeSpot is a local power bank rental service provider with over 6,000 rental stations across Hong Kong, including convenience stores, shopping malls, hotels, theme parks, and universities.
There are 10 power banks available for renting at the User Services Counter (Level 3, Main Library), and in Shek Mun Campus Library. Each power bank comes with USB‑C and Lightning cables. The older model also includes a Micro‑USB cable.
How to Rent a Power Bank
- Scan the QR code on the rental station using the ChargeSpot App, App Clips, WeChat Mini Programme, AlipayHK Mini App, or UnionPay App.
- Pay a HK$198 deposit or use a credit card for payment.
- A power bank will be released from the station for you to use.
Rental Fee

- HK$5 per hour (special rate for HKBU Library)
- HK$30 for 24 hours
Return the Power Bank
You can return the power bank to any ChargeSpot rental station. Use the map on the app to find one next to you.
