Main Library
Mondays – Fridays	8:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. US Counter (L3) service hours: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. CTC Counter (L4) service hours: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturdays	9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. US Counter (L3) service hours: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. CTC Counter (L4) service hours: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Sundays	1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. US Counter (L3) service hours: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. CTC Counter (L4) service hours: 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Note: Levels 2 and 3 of the Main Library (the Library Academic Commons) will remain open 24 hours a day.

Effective 1 September 2026, overnight access (11:00 p.m. – 7:59 a.m.) to HKBU Main Library’s Academic Commons will be limited to current HKBU students and staff only. Read more.

Saturdays	10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Counter service hours: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sundays	Closed

Shek Mun Campus Library
Mondays – Fridays	8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Counter service hours: 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Saturdays	9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Counter service hours: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sundays	Closed

There will be special service hours during examination periods, semester break, summer time, and on certain public holidays. Library hours are determined according to the demand for library use, staff availability, and other relevant factors.
