Extension of renovation period for Main Library entrance and alternative access arrangements
As previously announced, the entrance of the Main Library is currently under renovation.
The Estates Office has informed the Library that more time is needed to complete the renovation work. Below are the additional dates on which the Main Library entrance will be closed:
- 2 Jan (Sat) – 3 Jan (Sun)
- 9 Jan (Sat) – 10 Jan (Sun)
Alternative access arrangements
On those dates when the main entrance is closed, access to the Main Library will be through the fire exit on Li Promenade. Please refer to the image below for details of the entrance and exit flows. Directional signage will be provided.
Security guards will inspect library cards at the temporary station near the Information Desk. Please follow the instructions of library staff and security guards on site.
