Temporary Change to Main Library Entrance Access (27–30 July 2026)

The Main Library Entrance will be temporarily closed for glass door repairs from 27 July to 30 July 2026. During this period, access through the main entrance will not be available. All library users are requested to use the exit door located in the Lift No. 4 lobby on Level 3 as the temporary entrance and exit.

Temporary Access Suspension to JULAC Card Holders (12 April – 19 May 2025)

Because of the high demand for study spaces during the examination period, the Library will suspend the entry of JULAC Card holders (students only) from other UGC-funded universities. Details are as follows:

JULAC Card registration for other UGC-funded university holders is also not available.

To facilitate usage of our Library materials, affected users are advised to:

  • Use the HKALL or Interlibrary Loan services at their home library.
  • Return HKBU Library materials via our book drops or the JULAC Book Return Service at their home library on or before the due date.
  • Pick up the requested items at HKBU Library before 12 April 2025.

Affected JULAC Card holders who need to collect HKBU Library materials during the non-accessible period may present the email pickup notice to the security guard at the Library entrance for temporary access.

Normal access will resume on 20 May 2025 (Tuesday). Please check the Library’s opening hours before visiting.
