Please return your borrowed items to the Library on or before the due date to avoid overdue fines.
For the convenience of users, a number of 24-hour book drops are provided. Refer to the tables below for details of locations and pick-up times.
Under normal circumstances (except for prolonged public holidays or special service arrangements), returns made via book drops will be reflected in your borrower record within 1–2 working days. You are encouraged to check your borrower record online after returning materials via the book drop service and report any discrepancies to the Library as soon as possible.
The following types of materials cannot be placed in book drops and must be returned to the User Services Counter:
- Books borrowed through Interlibrary Loan (including HKALL)
- Items checked out from Special Collections and Archives
- Books with attached CD-ROMs or CDs
- Multimedia materials
- Music scores
- Items from the Course Readings collection (these should be returned to the User Services Counter of their home library)
- Books that you personally borrowed using a JULAC card
