Books on loan to you may be “recalled” back to the Library when they are requested by other borrowers. The loan period of recalled books will be shortened. However, the system provides for a minimum loan period of at least three weeks. In cases where a book is requested by two or more users, the loan period will be further shortened to two weeks upon borrowing.
Under extraordinary circumstances, such as re-cataloguing or transferring of materials to the Course Readings collection, the Library itself may recall a borrowed book. There will be a higher fine for overdue recalled items.
The Library will send email notices to inform you of the new due date of the recalled item. Please check your email regularly.
